1949 and 1950 Johnson 2.5 hp decal set may work on the following:
STARTING -- To start cold motor, open gas valve and air vent. Set magneto to lever at START position. Push primer 3 to 5 times. Pull starter handle. After motor starts, additional priming may be necessary. Approximate opening for both needle valves ¾ turns from closed position. Readjust while operating motor. *H.P. Certified at 4000 R.P.M.
OILING -- Mix thoroughly in a clean can ½ pint Mobil oil AF or Mobil oil Marine No.4, or a high-grade S.A.E. No. 40 oil with each gallon of gasoline. Refill gearcase with Mobilube GX-90 or any other good grade oil stable for automotive hypoid gears, meeting U.S. Army Spec. No. 2-105B Grade 90, every 1 to 4 weeks depending on how much motor is used. Read the instruction book. SPARK PLUG - Use Champion J-6-J.
When shipped, this motor is accompanied by a bag containing tools and an instruction book.
