STARTING—To start cold motor, connect gasoline line. Push primer bulb gasoline tank until the primer resists thumb pressure. THIS MUST BE DONE WHENEVER PRESSURE IS RELEASED IN TANK. Set magneto lever and steering handle control at START position. Pump gasoline control lever upward from No. 7 position in priming action 3 to 5 times. To start warm motor pump once, pull starter handle. When motor starts, move magneto lever and steering handle control to FAST. Adjust gasoline control lever to lowest setting. If cold motor fails to start in 3 pushes, additional priming may be necessary. To stop motor, turn steering handle control to STOP.

OILING— Mix thoroughly in the tank ½ pint of Mobiloil AF or Mobiloil Marine No. 4 or S.A.E. No. 40 oil of similar body with each gallon of gasoline. Refill the gearcase with Mobilgease UW or Sea Horse Gear lubricant every 1 to 4 weeks, depending on how much motor is used. Read instruction book. When shipped, this motor is accompanied by a bag containing tools and instruction book.
